I have been in business since 1978 when I started renting the shop on the corner of Market and Livingston Streets. The next year, I bought the building. Please come and visit me. I have a wide variety of lighting fixtures and bathroom accessories. Many towel bars to choose from. Always at least 85 medicine cabinets in stock. Some refinished and others painted. Door knobs and hooks. Claw-footed bathtubs and sinks. Large selection of marble-top sinks. Porcelain and brass wall lights. Vintage hand-painted shades and halophane shades on ceiling lights as well as the favorite old schoolhouse hanging lights, which look great even in modern decor. Deco 1920-30s wall and ceiling lights. I also provide lamp repair and rewiring, which usually takes about a week – the repairman is fast and prompt.

Please call ahead if you are coming from a long distance when the shop is open. That way I can answer any questions you might have. If I don’t answer the phone during working hours, please call back the same day – I might be upstairs or outside the shop and sometimes I do not hear the phone. Don’t think the store is closed; I'm usually there faithfully but occasionally a buying opportunity may take me away. Your fighting with carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and painters are over; when you get to the point of picking out that special light, the fun begins.
Store Policies and Information
I give a one-week return on any light or plumbing piece. You may either exchange or get your money back. I also have tape measures available for those precise measurements.
There are so many lights to look up at, some have complained of sore necks. The thought has crossed my mind of getting a rolling cot, so people can lay down and view the inventory. There is a huge selection; I'm sure I’ll have just what you are looking for!
This is the mother of all antique/vintage lighting stores. It in itself is a destination for anyone needing vintage or antique lighting. When you walk in it takes a few moments to realize just how many lighting possibilities there are for you to choose from. The prices are reasonable and the selection can be overwhelming so be sure you have plenty of time and money because you will probably find more than you ever thought you could use here.
